Vampires in mourning
When vampires pass on, either from old age (usually at least a thousand years old) or from outside causes (staking, the break of dawn, etc.), their loved ones, usually their Source, will bury them somewhere high up, on a mountain, or else at the ebb of a river. Here the Source will erect a stone angel as a memorial, and on the anniversary of that vampire's death, those who knew him or her will leave a black rose at the feet of the angel.
Vashti in Mourning
When Vashti pass on, they are mourned by a candlelight vigil, where their bodies are burned. The ashes are taken to flowing water and poured in. Thus they symbolically move on to another life.
Werewolves in mourning
When werewolves pass on, the others wolves in their pack surround the body, which either remains in or changes into wolf form, and mourn it. One wolf lights the body on fire, and the pack rolls in the ashes and leave, symbolically carrying their following brother or sister with them.
